Which Documents You Need to Get a Treatment Offer in Turkey

Which medical documents you need to get a treatment offer in Turkey: reports, imaging, accepted formats, how long the offer takes and what it includes.

To get a treatment offer in Turkey, you usually need four things: your reason for applying, your doctor’s reports, your recent test results and your imaging reports. MPGCARE sends these medical documents to the relevant hospital team. You usually receive a treatment offer within about three days. If something is missing, our coordinators tell you exactly what to add.

Many patients delay their application because they think they need a perfect, complete file first. You don’t. Send what you have, and we will tell you what else the hospital needs.

The Documents Hospitals Ask For Before Making An Offer

Hospitals ask for documents that show your diagnosis, your current condition and the treatment you have already had. The exact list depends on the department, but these are the most useful medical documents for treatment abroad.

Medical documents for treatment abroad

Almost always needed:

  • Your reason for applying. A short description of your complaint or diagnosis, written in your own words.
  • Doctor’s reports. Letters from your treating doctor, consultation notes or discharge summaries.
  • Recent test results. Blood tests and other laboratory results, ideally from the last few months.
  • Imaging reports. Written reports of ultrasound, X-ray, CT, MRI or PET-CT scans.
  • Your passport or ID details. These are needed for registration.

Often needed, depending on the department:

Department Documents usually requested
Oncology Pathology (biopsy) report, staging scans, previous chemotherapy or radiotherapy summary
Cardiology ECG, echocardiography report, angiography report if available
Orthopaedics X-ray or MRI images and their reports
IVF and fertility Hormone test results, previous treatment history, partner’s test results if relevant
Surgery Imaging reports, recent blood tests, list of medicines

This table is a general guide, not a hospital requirement list. Our coordinators confirm what your department needs.

A list of the medicines you take now, with doses, is always helpful too.

If you are not sure which documents matter, send everything you have. The hospital team will pick what is relevant.

Accepted Formats And How To Send Them

You can send your documents through the upload form on our contact page. Our Batumi office can also tell you which channel suits your case.

A few practical tips help the hospital team read your file faster:

  • Photograph each page clearly, in good light and without shadows.
  • Keep all pages of a report together, including the last page with the doctor’s signature.
  • Name your files clearly, for example “MRI-report-March-2026”.
  • Keep your original imaging discs. Bring them to your appointment even if you sent the reports earlier.

Documents in Georgian. MPGCARE translates Georgian documents free of charge. You do not need to arrange a translation yourself.

If you are unsure how to send a large file, contact our team before sending it.

How Long It Takes To Receive An Offer

You usually receive a treatment offer about three days after your documents are reviewed.

Step Typical time
Treatment offer after documents are reviewed About 3 days
Appointment confirmation after the doctor and hospital are agreed 1–2 days

These times can be longer if the hospital needs extra documents or the specialist has limited availability. Our coordinators keep you updated throughout.

Once you accept the offer, our team arranges your appointment. Our guide on how to book an appointment at Medical Park and Liv Hospital explains that step.

What A Treatment Offer Includes

A treatment offer explains what the hospital proposes, how long it may take and what the cost items are.

Each offer states:

  • The scope of treatment. Which examinations, procedures or therapies are planned.
  • The estimated duration. How long the treatment and your stay may take.
  • The cost items. What is included in the price.
  • Additional services. Whether accommodation, transport and interpreter support are included.

The offer is not final. The final treatment plan and cost are confirmed after the authorised doctor has examined you. If extra tests or procedures are needed after the examination, the cost may change. You are informed before anything is done.

Payment. MPGCARE does not ask for prepayment. You pay directly at the hospital cashier, and the hospital gives you a receipt.

If you have questions about your offer, your coordinator can go through it with you line by line.

What Happens If A Document Is Missing

If the hospital needs an extra document or examination, our coordinators tell you what to add. A missing document rarely stops the process. It usually just adds a short delay.

Common situations include:

  • An old report. The hospital may ask for a more recent test or scan.
  • Images without a written report. You may need to send the report, or the scan may be read again at the hospital.
  • A missing pathology report, which is especially important in oncology.
  • Unclear pages that need to be photographed again.

Sometimes the doctor decides that the missing information is best collected during your first examination in Turkey. Your coordinator will tell you which option applies.

If you cannot find a document, tell us. We will explain whether you can travel without it.

How Your Personal Data Is Handled

Health information is sensitive personal data. In Turkey, the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) classifies health data as special category personal data. This law sets stricter conditions for processing it.

In practice, this means:

  • Your documents are used for your treatment process, for example to get a hospital evaluation and prepare your offer.
  • They are shared with the hospital team that evaluates your case.
  • You have rights over your data. Under the law, you can ask whether your data is processed and request that incorrect data be corrected.

If you have a question about your data, ask your coordinator before sending your documents.
